I first met Victoria Drozdova at the Portland District OMTA meeting on Jan. 22, 2014, when she was introduced as a new member who lived in S.E. Portland. After that meeting and some introductions, Victoria agreed to give a presentation to the Far East Focus Group in February on Russian music. I was so impressed with Victoria’s presentation on the four transcriptions from Prokofiev’s Ballet “Cinderella”, and the ease and beautiful way she played the piano, that I asked to study with her. I truly feel she can teach me not only Russian music, but help me improve my piano skills. After 3 lessons with Victoria, I am amazed at how much I am learning.
