Brandon R. Brown, PSU Music student, composer

One of the perks of attending PSU is getting decent piano instruction for free. However, after the first year, I realized I was not making the progress I wanted to. I was learning the bare essentials for piano, but not the thorough fundamentals I had hoped for. I was developing bad habits. I knew I needed a serious teacher who would hold me to task and help me develop as a musician and piano player. That’s when I found an advertisement for Victoria and contacted her for lessons.

Victoria has the ability to teach at the highest level and help correct every nuance in detail without ever being overbearing. If you really care about your progress you will see that same passion in Victoria. I find this to be a rare experience. I have had 3 teachers for free, but honestly, I have found that you get what you pay for.

I drive 45 minutes each way for lessons with her, and I have found that it is absolutely worth the effort and expense. She is one of the greatest pianists and teachers I have ever met. In my opinion I am lucky to have the opportunity to learn from such a brilliant teacher. She’s new to America, and even newer to Portland. Perhaps this is the only reason I have had the opportunity to work with her before her schedule gets filled up and her prices rise to their true value. Get her while you can! There is no one else like her in Portland. I would recommend her to anyone, at any level, and at any price.
